Default Fog Lamps not working???

I just got my first Ram this week. Only thing is, my fog lamps won't come on. There's not amanual with my truck so I just assumed flipping the switch over by the headlight control that shows the fog lamp symbol would work. The little yellow light on the switch comes on, but no fog lights come on. I tried it with bright and dim settings on the head lights.

Maybe I have 2 blown bulbs... or maybe a bad switch... or hopefully just a fuse???

Any ideas before I start fiddling with it tomorrow?

Not likely the switch, since the dash indicator comes on. If you have access to a meter, you can verify power to the light fixture. Most likely it's the bulbs. You can remove and reinsert the bulbs and clean the contacts in case it's corrosion. If the socket matches a less-expensive bulb, you could try that, as well. Put the cheap bulb in and see if you get light. You may be able to look at the filament in the fob bulbs and see if they're open.

Pull the switch outward and your fogs will light up.

Must at least have your parking lights on. They turn off if you put on your high beams.

My switch doesn't pull out. It does on my Ford Explorer, but not on my '02 Ram.

I checked the bulbs, they look good and not corroded. I checked the fuse, it looks good. I pulled the relay and plugged it back in. Lights still don't work. Maybe it's the relay. Is that something you can get from AutoZone I wonder? Or dealership? [:@]

Wait... the headlight switch doesn't pull out? That's the foglight switch. If it doesn't pull out, but you have foglights, the mystery deepens. Someone swap the headlight switch at some point?

Tomorrow I will get my meter and check it in the bulb socket to see if power is coming thru.

The fog lights that you have were not factory installed. They are from a kit the you could buy from the dealer. There is a seperate fuse and relay for this kit. Look next to the battery for a fuse and relay. If you need it I can email you a pdf with the install instructions....
