Had my oil changed for the first time in my new rig, The computer it self let me no, i was unaware that mine had that capability. I was suprised thouhg, it came after only having 2550 miles on it. Its all hw miles, and the oil still looked good, but becasue its new, never owning a dodge, and never had a truck tell me to do something, i went ahead and changed it. Is any one using synthetic oil

 

I use Mobil 1 synthetic. I'm a guy who changes the oil every 3,000 miles. If you like to change your's say every 5,000 or so it's still a good idea to change that first one no later than 3,000 as most of the messing of engine parts are taking place.

 

thats what I plan, just incase of any left over flashings in the diff or crank case I will change the oil and diff fluid early. Probably put in the REDLINE LSD fluid for the 3.9something non slip diff this came with.

 

I am using Mobil 1 5w-30, and a wix filter, with a 5k miles change interval...this weekend I will probably swap out the rear end and transmission grease, using Citco 80w-90 gear lube for the diff and ATF for the six speed manual.
