shackle kits
what is it about shackle kits that makes them vary so much on the amount that they actually drop the truck? Everyone seems to list their kits as a 2" drop but then have this stupid little disclaimer saying that the amount varies from .5"-1.5". Well then its notreally a 2" drop shackle kit so why list it as that, its rediculous to me. The long and short of it is that i have a 04 1500 quad cab and want the stance of a srt and all my research brings up is that the srt-10 is 1" lower in the front and 2" lower in the back. If you look at pics of the truck side by side these numbers seem legit.... here is where it gets interesting. In the rear obviously stock the leaf spring is over the axle on my truck-vs- on the srt stock it is under the axle. Normally this would result in approx a 4" drop, so how did they get the rear end back up those 2" basically. So essentially my question is.... im looking to lower my truck to the stance of a srt, who makes a kit closest to 1-1.5" drop in the front and 2-2.5" drop in the rear? So far closest ive seen is eibach. BTW trying to keep as much of the stock ride quality as possible.
ohh and if someone with a srt-10 reads this, would you please do me a favor and go put a tape measure on your truck and give me measurements from the ground to the fender well front and rear please so i can confirm heights? please
