Default 15,000 mile service, help

Hey yall, well i have a 2007 Ram 1500 Hemi 4x4. I bought the truck used with aobut 8,000 miles. Im now at around 14,000 and aproaching the 15,000 mile service. However I do not know where the Owners Manual is, and was wondering if someone could please tell me what needs to be done at 15,000 miles. And also if it is something I can do. I live on base, and have access to an auto hoby shop that has lifts and just about every tool imaginable. Thanks in advance for any replys.

Yes, it is something you can do if you are mechanical enough to do an oil change. If I am not mistaken there is a DIY for this (see sticky post at the top of this section).

It's pretty basic stuff. Probably find what you need instruction wise on this web site.

If you do not have an owners manual, they can be purchased from the Chrysler Tech Authority. www.techauthority.com

It's nice to have one since your Ram is pretty new and the owners manual gives a good over view of the features and maintenance of your truck. A more detailed Factory Service Manual is available also. A bit more pricey but if you are keeping your Ram for a long time and plan on doing most of the upkeep yourself, it is a great investment. Some of the more common fixes are also on the Dodge Forum as well.

Well I did my own Oil change last time, and also installed my Magnaflow exhaust, So I think I should be able to do this than. Because its a 4X4 do I have to change the oil in the front dif? is there even a front dif? Also how many Qts of oil do the diffs need?

Like the man said, if you can change the oil, you can service the differential. Yes, there is a front diff. Make sure you get the right fluids. The front diff uses 75w-90, either regular for the C205F or synthetic for the 9 1/4 AA (I don't have a 4x4, but someone on the forum can help you figure out which you have). The rear diff gets synthetic 75w-140 synthetic for the 9 1/4, 75w-90 for the larger ones. If it has LSD, you'll need the friction modifier. With access to all that shop stuff this should be a piece of cake. I'm planning to do mine when the ice age ends and global warming starts up again. You don't have to pay for a manual. You can download one free from Dodge.
