Could someone plz explain to me.
Hey, guys since this is the first truck I have owned I am of course new to the whole lift/levelingkits/keys. My question is...could you guys give me a real quick description/how they workof these....I know what a leveling kit is but i keep hearing about leveling keys????
I know this is a pretty simple question lol, but i gotta find out some how.

From what I understand, leveling kits come in 2 types for torsion bar IFS. Spacers and keys. Spacers are just that, 2" (give or take) spacers that you install at the top of the shock mount. The keys change the angle of your torsion bar so you can tighten the bar, which raises your front end, without dramatically changing the angles of your front end components.
only the 03 to 05 1500 4x4 only have torsion bars. Do what I did and crank the bars and see how you like it. I liked it so I got longer shocks. The ride is stiffer but I might get the keys later on.
since i dont have a 4x4 i would go with just a regular leveling kit with spacers right? I have a 2003.
Plus, ive read alot of ppl say that cranking the torsion bars makes the ride alot stiffer...and im picky about how smooth the ride is.

nice...is it recomended for someone not expierienced to do it? I mean i know how to do alot of stuff and have worked on vehicles before (replacing breaks/waterpumps and such)but nothing like that. Also, does spacers effect the smoothness of the ride at all?
