ANYONE HAD INTERMITTENT POWER WINDOW PROBLEMS???
I have an '04 Ram 1500, 4.7L. My power windows sometimes work....and sometimes don't. The fuse is good....I'm assuming the motors are good....so what else is there to make them work intermittently? I hear there is a circuit breaker under the dash for the windows, but I don't know where exactly or what it looks like??? Can anyone help? Thanks.
Won't be a fuse issue. Once a fuse blows, it's gone. Breakers are about the same way. They can get hot and stop working, but that's not likely. Beadhand probably is on the right track. Either corroded connections or loose ones. Take a squint at the connectors on the driver's side -- they might be loose. I would not recommend WD-40, though. Contact cleaner is a better bet. WD-40 will attract dust and grime.
When my truck was NEW (i mean, 100 miles on it) I would turn the truck off (still in aux) and roll all the windows up and occasionally they would all stop, and the window control would do nothing. Once I took the key out and put it back in aux they would all roll up. 12,500 miles now and it has not done it since.
