Does anyone know if there is a wire I can splice into anywhere in the cab? I would like to go to the mpg/temp computer up top, if you know there is a wire in there let me know. I also thought about going to the cig. lighter and splicing in there. If that is the only way, please tell me how to get to it. If you know something better, please tell me. I really don't want to go to the fuse box, if there is another way.

 

Mine's an '03, so this may not be real useful. I did not find good power in the overhead console, so I ran a wire down the A-pillar. In my truck there is a four-wire harness behind the knee bolster, under the steering wheel. In that harness is a lime green/black stripe wire. That is a switched hot (on with the key). Tie into that (make sure you fuse the circuit) and a ground. Should not take more than an hour, if that.
