cab roof lights
Aparently, normally theres wiring with a plug thats OEM in the passenger side A Pillar. however in my truck theres no wire in the passenger A Pillar. wtf. so basically what im getting to, does anybody know where else it can be...theres wiring in the driver side A pillar, but its for the Temperature/MPG on the roof, rear view mirror and dome light..does anybody know where i can find this plug for the cab roof lights? its suppose to be in the passenger side A Pillar and its not...what do i do?
I've never seen or even heard tell of a 3rd gen Dodge without the connector in the passenger pillar. Although, you're a 2wd aren't you? I don't think I can recall a 4x2, 1500owner installing them, I guess it's possible that only the 1500 4x4's and all 2500/3500's have them. Why don't you pm Parts/Service, I'm sure he can look it up for you...
If you find out that you don't have it, it's no big deal to wire it directly to the relay in the fusebox under the hood. You'll just have to use more wire and go through the firewall, no biggie, it's how you'd have to do it if you had a Ford or Chevy anyway...
what color wires do you have that you say are for the over head console?
If you do not have the connector, you will have to run a wire to the power distribution center under the hood...I can email you a PDF file for the factory cab light kit install. It will show you where to splice the wires......DAVID
