No, with a stock exhaust you will not notice the MDS. It will definitely not cause resonance. With an aftermarket exhaust you have varied results, depnding on the specific setup.

Well, Resonance, is when your exhaust gets the proper tone, air flow out of it, to "resonate" in your cab. It's describing the sound. Someone else will have to explain exactly what it sounds like, i will just confuse you more.

MDS. The Multi Displacement System on some hemi's that shuts down the motor to 4 cyl. It sounds like resonance on a stock exhaust, and you can slightly hear it in stock form. It gets pretty bad with an aftermarket system.

Best way i know to explain it, is like your exhaust is pulsing...

Ahhh damn it...I just typed out a long paragraph but the forum didn't post it for some reason[:@].

Anyway, I have almost the same stocktruck as you and the "resonance" you hear seems to be coming from the suspension. It's not the MDS or the exhaust because the exhaust is stock on yours...mine was up until a month ago. I always hear a low bass tone resonatingwhen going over any kind of a bump...and yes it's annoying but you get used to it. My g/f complains about it all the time which doesn't help. I'm thinking better tires will help but who knows.

It sounds like a subwoofer on very low with high bassand is a constant sound when going over bumps. Mine does it at all speeds but it does seem louder at around 50ish.
