Trust me... no well performing dealerships are being closed. And any private dealership that is losing their ability to sell Chrysler and therefore to shut down probably deserves it. They could always sell something else.

Jim Press and Cerberus are good news for Chrysler (hopefully). That's assuming they're in it for the longer haul, which the hiring of Jim Press hopefully indicates. If Chrysler can keep increasing quality and put out cool new cars, we'll all benefit from that.

There are 4 Dodge dealerships within a 15 minute drive from my house and I think 6 or more in town. Well to TX. I got 12k off of sticker on my Dodge + free 5 yr./75,000 mile warranty extension for the bumper to bumper with free oil changes. Even though it sounds like a steal of a deal, I guarantee you they still made money off of that deal.

I've been wondering the same myself! Norwood Dodge closed, S. Attleboro Dodge closed...wtf! I've taken my truck to Melrose Dodge, they seem to do good waranty work! Kinda a run down looking place, but, oh-well...
Since i'm in Attleboro now, I go to Lincoln Dodge and they are superb!! Kinda small, but worth it.. And ten mins away.
Melrose Dodge is owned by Smiley. An old name if you have been around. After the Daimler thingy, Smiley is putting their name back on it. It is expanding the customer service area, the service write up area and getting an overhaul.

The other major Dodge Dealer that closed was IRA which is huge if you know the area. They gave away everything Dodge and closed without notice over a weekend and I had an appointment that Wednesday. They are concentrating on Toyotas and such.

Hard to ask; Too many Dodges in Boston?????

Nationally has Dodge slipped to 4th now in 1/2 ton truck sales? Has the new Tundra outsold the Dodge? I know Ford is 1st, but that's only b/c they usually count the GMC & Chevy separately.

The dealership I bought mine from is expanding. It's HUGE!!! I think they have something like 75 1500's on the lot to choose from, that's just the trucks. The place keeps buying neighboring businesses to expand it's inventory... I don't think they're doing bad. Plus if you just look around at my town, you can tell that most people buy new cars from there. Dodge's are EVERYWHERE around here.

When I bought my Dodge in late September of '07 they had 85+ '07 1500's. The dealership is HUGE! You had every color with every option package to choose from practically. I loved it.
