Haha Leo - Talk About Exact Situation.. Had The Same Same Problem To The "T"...
The High Output Alternator Is The Only Way To Go. Added A 1 farad Cap and NO Difference.

the only ones i found locally go up to 136 amps. i dont know what stock ones go but i believe 136 is a bit low. ill get one maybe when i get my tax return, for now i just turned the bass down alot and turn it up only to show off for a few seconds. not a big deal i dont really turn it up that high anyways, i just like the power there in case i ever need it.

136Amp Is No Doubt Not The Larger Alternator.. If I Remember Correctly When I Bought My Truck There Was A 180Amp Plow Prep Package, Might Have Been A 160Amp

u can use w/e alternator you want. just order a 300 amp alt from somewhere and fab up a bracket. You will have to upgrade wiring from alt to battery and the grounds but you can use w/e alternator u want to. email this guy Dominick@tds.net guy by the name of dominick iraggi makes sick alternators for w/e u watn w/e size u want

I havn't bought one from him, expect to pay 2-400 dollars. My audio system isn't big enough to warant a new alt. but I'm active on a few audio forums. rockfordfosgate.com realmofexcursion.com and these are the alternators we recommend to everyone. type in steve meade on youtube he's a guy that is quite possibly the best installer known to mankind he has 4 300 amp alts in his chevy tahoe. made by iraggi
