ATTENTION 03-05 5.7 OWNERS!!!!!!!!
If you own an 03-05 Ram 1500 5.7 HEMI or the 2500 and your truck has stalled out and died on you for no good reason, please, please, please go to www.carcomplaints.com and fill out a form describing this problem. There are many of us experiencing this problem with absolutely no help from the dealerships. I personally get nervous to drive mine if it dies in traffic or if I have my kids with me. Do your fellow Dodge Fans a favor and jump on board!!!
My 04 QC runs like a champ. There was a TSB that came out when I first bought the truck about hesitation and dying, that flash fixed me up fine.Zero problems for 75k miles now.

i won't even let a dealership touch my truck with everything i've put in it, I use a local speed shop here to do the work but i just need to know what the problem is, it's becoming very common.
Website looks like a joke. Went to a couple of different years and only had a hand full of complaints. There would have to be thousands of complaints for anyone to do anything. A few complaints that are being posted on a forum style website is nothing. The mfg's are going to look at it as a line defect and not mfg defect and if it is happening on 1 out of every couple hundred vehicles that leave the line, then there really isn't a problem.
As far as a stalling problem, mine has done it too. Maybe 3-4 times since I bought mine new and now have 18k miles on it. It happened at such random times and the truck started up, I am chalking it up to 1 thing that did not do what it was supposed to do at the time it was needed. Todays vehicles are electrical, mechanical, pressurized, and computer driven pieces of equipment. If one thing is 1 millisecond off when it is supposed to turn of, on, or idle mode, you are going to have little glitches. Every single car that I have had in the last 15 years has done this. The only car that I had no problems with was my carb driven Monte Carlo. The only time anything happened was when it was my fault when I flooded it. Basically in short, I feel the more operations you remove the the operator, the more problems you can have.

I had this same issue on my 05' I told the dealer about and they found a TSB for it and reprgrammed my PCM. Have had no more issues with it at all. However if you are running a turbocharger your guys at the performance shop should be able locate the problem. Have you thought about looking into a Bully Dog downloader? You might be able to over come the issue that way.
