Sad Day
Sounds to me like you're filing for bankruptcy just to take the easy way out.... B/c you don't want to pay off loans that you probably could afford to pay off now that your wife has a well paying job. That's not right by me.... but that's just my opinion. You spent it, now you should have to pay for it.
well see what you guys all say heres the deal alright i didnt know about the filing untill she told me about the hearing. Thats why my truck is goin its in her name. As I said earlier that she had better credit. Well I tried to talk her out of it but like I said earlier we are so upside down in it now. When I say "new" truck I mean new to me. By no means can I get a 40grand truck and would not do that anyways. Just thought someone would know if a Chevy dealer would buy a Cummins for a guy....... I should have just asked that instead of venting my story. as I was upset about it.
Well, to answer that question...
If you are looking used, then yes. Any dealer will find you any truck, of any make if that is what you want. Especially if they are a franchise. Service will be your only problem if there is no dodge dealer by you.
Example: We bought a neon from a local ford dealership, but they are ahuge franchise, so they just called thier dodge dealer in another town. and had one shipped over. but if its needs service more than i can handle, we have to drve a few hours to the dodge dealership. So far, it has not been a problem though.

I agree, any dealer should be able to locate a used vehicle (any flavor) if that’s what you want and I am sorry to hear you may lose your truck. Also on a side note, I do not believe you can file against any govt sub loans and most high dollar loans are federally subsidized.
hellbilly, back when we were considering bankrupcty, i asked for what type we should file. they did the same bull **** to me. kept ragging. fortunately, we never filed and now my pops is making $2-3mill a year. hopefully your luck turns around seems like it is. anywho, you should just go to the dealer and ask if they do. hopefully they say yes. good luck with the truck!!
Yea, I used to hear that you were F**K'd for seven years if you went bankrupt too. It's hogwash! One of my best friends and his spendaholic wife got REAL bad in debt. Were renting, living in a doublewide with four kids.
At tax time about two years ago, the lady at the HR Block tells them they might just want to seek a consultation with a bk lawyer. So, anyway they file and like magic, most of the debts are wiped away. Three months later she's driving a new car, two months after that he's got a new Dodge Truck and within a year got financed on their first house!
They are spending themselves right back where they were before, and EVERYONEis financing them to the hilt, because they won't be eligible to file bk again for seven years...
