Hey guys. I'm a 2nd gen owner but my friend with an '03 had asked me about a strange noise coming from the fan when his A/c is on. The A/c blows cold and the fan speed seems right. It just has a loud cicada like humming sound coming from it. I told him the fan probably needs to be replaced. Having very little knowledge of the 3rd Gens, I just wanted to see if anyone has had similar problems or knows of anything problamatic with the Blower fan.

Is there a leaf or something in the A/C condenser fan?

 

Haven't got the chance to look at it. I just heard it, and he had asked me about it.



I guess I am just going to take it apart and play doctor.

 

In the old days that could mean that the blower motor was going bad. It's all in what sound that it makes.
