Default Any way to find out if engine has dropped to 4 cylinders

I am trying to find out if there is a way to know if the engine has dropped to 4 cylinders. I heard there was a way to find out on the overhead console that tells you the MPG and DTE.

you'll notice your mpg increase. also you may notice a small rise in rpms. if you get an aftermarket exhaust ignore the first two suggestions; you'll hear it.

If you have the stock exhaust there is no way to find out unless there was some change from the 06 to the 08. My 06 has no way of telling me except for my exhaust note. The stock exhaust hides it though.

I heard that there is a secret code that the dealers know but will not say. There is a way to see it on the overheard console.

I think if you put in a edge programmer it will also tell you when it goes into 4 cylinders.

Yup... I have it in my upper right quadrant on my Edge. V4 or V8 is what it tells you. The longer I've had it, the easier it is to tell when it's in which mode. My Magnaflow doesn't make it very clear as to which mode it's in, which is something I like about the Magnaflow.

I saw someone on this forum with "MDS indicator light MOD" in his sig, anybody know who this is?

Sobomaster, where did you get your edge? I'm dying to get one.
