Default RE: What did you buy your truck for?

according Chrysler's official press release
the typical Ram owner is:

Gender 90% male
Age 50
Median Household income $62,000
Married 70%
College educated 21%

from
https://dodgeforum.com/m_615998/tm.htm

In the 'how old are you?'
long Dodgeforum thread
one can see that the typical member is about half this age
and uses his Ram quite differently than the typical Ram owner.

List why you bought your truck and how old you are (just curious):

Anyway, I bought mine pretty much to "cruise" in, have something big, but not too big, and of course get me to school and work.

I'm 20 years old 21 in july.....sophmore at the University of Kentucky
UK Student huh? I live in Bowling Green, but from Owensboro, going to Western Kentucky University. Thought I was the only KY person around here, even though it seems like 25% of the trucks I see on the roads are RAMs.

To answer the thread topic, I'm 25, bought my truck 3 months ago because I had only driven a crappy dime-a-dozen Pontiac Grand Am with a ****ty Quad-4 engine since I turned 16 and recently got a job promotion where I am making 30+k/year... not a lot by any means, but enough to afford me a "new" truck. And I am in love with it. It is the highlight of my everyday. And DF is making me salivate at all the upcoming mod ideas I am compiling for the future!

Nice bro! I never noticed your username...the KY in it! haha, but I'm from hopkinsville, so not too far away! I have a lot of buddies that go to Western...and I've met a lot of chicks from bowling green up here haha....
If you ever come to WKU to party let me know via PM, there's always something going on here, though it doesn't seem as rowdy as UK. I bet we know someone in common, being in such close vicinity and all.

oh and steven, yall didn't get hit by the tornado last night did you?? Uk's campus was all messed up today lol with torn down trees and branches EVERYWHERE. I'm glad my apartment complex is huge and blocked most of the winds around...some guy behind me in class today told me a stop sign flew into the window of his truck.....poor dude
No, we got a lot of the wind and a lot of rain, but no touchdowns in BG reported. My house had quite a few smaller limbs scattered around this yard this morning. And I heard one of my employees drove to Tompkinsville to check on his family because there was a touchdown there, but we were lucky. I park out in our yard and my g/f parks under a car port attached to the house. I don't know which is safer, risking flying debris, and the entire car port falling on my truck if something were to happen. Oh well, that's what insurance is for. Hope your classmate gets his stuff taken care of. If you're on myspace, add me: www.myspace.com/stevenwku

I used to know some Phi Delts here, but I've gotten a little older and more into work and less into partying, so that has slowed down. The only guy whose name I can really think of is a guy from Owensboro that was going to WKU but transferred to UK this year named Brandon Gilbert, aka BG, do you know him? And I got your add on myspace.

I have owned hot rods my whole life..... 68 ss camaro, 1970 ss chevelle, '69 mach1 429 boss mustang, 79 trans am 403, 2002 ws6 highly modified ferrari red, long story but ummmm I got screwed over real bad by this girl named marissa and had to sell my ttrans am along with everything else I owned.... after that I came home for good... saw my dad '05 rclb 2x4 2-tone...... I drove it and fell in love.... bought my grey goose the next day.... found out that you can do a lot more with a truck I have a custom sportster and a quad and a snowmobile and it comes in handy......to be honest I have had a lot of stuff break on my hemi but....it was my fault I drive it like its a t/a (force of habbit)..... I dunno trucks are just better i think......but i am on the waiting list for this bad boy.....

I bought my 2500 to pull my trailer and have enough seats for the whole family. I have pulled this trailer with small/big block Fords, 6.0L GMC and the Dodge beats them all. This includes going and stopping some pretty decent size loads. This is my 1st Dodge but I have been really impressed.
