Hey guys, new to the forum here but trying to figure out exactly what it is I'm getting. I'm coming from a history of Hondas ('05 Accord right now) and don't have a lot of history with trucks or even Dodge.

Basically I went into the dealership and started pricing out a QC Dodge 4x4 with a Hemi. Basic model from what I can tell with PW, PL, tilt, air, etc.

His payments were 100$/mo more than I figured they should be, so thanked him for his time.

An hour later he comes back with a 'TRX' package, right at where I thought the payments should be (a 29k purchase here in Canada).

I realize the anti-displacement or whatever it is isn't in the package, but am I forfeiting anything here going with the 'TRX'?

I keep thinking they've taken out something (they insist it was a Big Horn package that was removed). Other than that, it's supposedly the same but ridiculously cheaper. I asked if there was damage or paint, and no, it's brand new.

So it comes down to, why the huge drop for a TRX? Is there something I should be looking out for that will be missing other than this Big Horn?

And yes I know it's a sales tact to run after you, come up with this crazy deal within your budget. But this TRX wasn't even on their lot. They are getting it from another site to check out today.

Wow, less than 3 hours without a reply... The horror... Go to dodge.com and build your own with the options he has listed and see what you get for a price. Some packages are not offered online and others are not available in certain areas.

 

Hey - I know this sounds impatient and there is a bit to that, as I am going to the dealership tonight.

I did build multiple models on the Dodge website and I have yet to see the TRX package. I have searched multiple forums and this one to see that the TRX offers colored shocks, sticker, off road package, etc.

I thought maybe a Dodge Ram forum would know what to look for (differences-wise) in a TRX package as to why the price came down so much so fast.

I doubt I am getting more truck than I originally thought.

Anyways, thanks for those 2 replies thus far. I'm just looking for feedback to be ready once I get back to Dodge.

 

Is it the hemi what wheel's does it have .

 

Appreicate it Tank. It comes with the Hemi. Apparently the tires are the off-road ones for the TRX but I'd have to double-check the specific tires.
