RE: FLowmaster 50 or 44?
I personally like the Magnaflow as well. That is what i have.
I was sold on the flowmaster at first, until i learned, and saw, how restrictive they actually are. The magnaflow sounds better with MDS imo, and why pay money for less flow, that is the opposite of what you should want. Flowmasters are just for looks.

If the MDS kicks in under 50 mph with the HD you hear it, that's for sure... I normally keep my truck in Tow/Haul around town to cancel the MDS.. On the highway you can hear it switch to 4 cylinders, but it's not bad at all... Does take some getting used to though...

I had the 50 series at first, and it sounds better than the stock muffler, but it's not loud enough. So I put the 44 on, took off the big resonator after the y pipe. I leave it in tow/haul and it sounds like a Hemi truck should sound. But if you want it to sound like an old 426, put on an exhaust cutout. It sounds badass, just if you get an electric cutout, close it around cops if they're ******** where you live.

Yes, as some have already pointed out, comparing the 50 to the 44 is hardly a comparison. The 44 is much much more aggressive. It's what you want. The 50 will give you some nice tone outside of the vehicle, but it will be modest. The 44 drones inside the cab, and is very evident outside of the cab. I run the 44 on my truck, and I love it. It sounds different than the original 40 series as well. Has its own little unique crackle, and is equally obnixous in decibal volume as the 40 series. You can check my youtube videos out in my signature, I have more than enough videos of the 44 ranging from it being just a catback system, to a gutted cat, to it having longtube headers with an offroad y-pipe and the gutted cat all in one. I love it, but it may or may not be for you.
