Default 180 t-stat

I have been browsing threw and noticed alot of you guys have a 180 degree t-stat. What is it exactly and does it help mpg or hp or etc? Just curious?

Its just a thermostat that opens up earlier than stock, at 180 degrees opposed to the 220 or whatever the stock one is. Opens earlier and keeps you motor cooler, cooler is always better,

ahh i see. So you should notice some gains in horsepower and maybe mpg?

probably neither. just is better for your motor to be running cooler. I never noticed any difference, just liked that my engine ran cooler.

since you seem to know a bunch and you have alot of posts and so forth what would be the best chip to get superchips or a jet? I just installed a mopar CAI yesterday.

I actually dont know about that. Prices around here seem to all be the same. Do a search from the top, there are quite a few threads discussing chips. also look at the most commonly discussed topics thread.

At the very top of the page, in little red writing where you log in at. It says My Profile. All your options are in there. you fill in the sig box, and make sure the box is checked below it that says add, or include sig in posts or whatever.
