What are you Guy's/Gals getting for MPG on Hwy or Average having the MBS system without towing......

 

MDS - Multi Displacement System

I'm only a 2 wheel drive, however I'm getting about 12-13 strictly in town, and 17-18 strictly highway, averages around 15.5 for me...

 

Being how both my 99 Ram 1500 4x4 QC's got 12mpg towing and 14-15 Hwy empty Iam hopeing to get at least 16-17 empty on the hwy....... with the 08 and haveing the Mbs.

 

Well, those are my numbers... Proven with every tank through my truck, and I'm only a 2wd. My truck does have the MDS system, and I've got a couple of mods that help out a pinch...

16-17 empty is not unheard of strictly highway driving, however around town your gas mileage plumits... Stopping and starting kills it. I have had 2 tanks, nothing but in town driving, short trips, lots of red lights, that I only got about 11mpg on... That was with the truck under 2k miles, mileage has increased slightly after it broke in some...

I haven't seen much difference in mileage just by loading about 500 - 800 lbs in the bed, towing my boat or work trailer normally brings me down to about 10mpg though...

 

I live in the country and there are only 4 stop signs in my 25 mile run to work,so I guess 16-17 isnt out of the question..58 mph is my average speed....pretty much al flat land...even at 16 I would be happy...
