Was really considering the Westin Bull Bars on my '04 and think they look really nice, but with the places I go, I have always needed a winch on my trucks and couldn't find any brand that let you mount a winch on the truck with them on, so I went the Brush Guard route.
Here's a pic of the Westins:

i would like to get one too but one thing is stopping me. it will hinder your trucks abilty to properly deploy the airbag. basically, the sensors that react to impact will not recieve the signal until later then they should and will then make the airbag deploy later then originally intended. but i still i still like em!

Are you sure? If you get hit hard enough to deploy an airbag, a bull bar held ob by a few bolts is not gonna prolong or stop the impact. That and our airbags are also hooked to to shock sensors, ie if you hit something and come to a stop too fastly, without crushing the sensor. they still deploy.

I have never heard f one messing with the air bags. According to physics the bull bar is going to make your impact less. You increase the amount of time of the impact, the force will be less on you.

ive heard the same about guards and airbags, but they will cave in at the right speed, and if youre not going fast enough to make em deploy because of the guard you werent going fast enough to really hurt yourself, besides you just saved yourself a few grand not having to replace the airbag. dont get me wrong, airbags are great, i played chicken with a pine tree in my moms brand new vw bug (5 speed turbo), totaled it, only 1200 miles on it.

and hey we're dodge owners, if you cant dodge it, RAM IT!!!!

one last thing, what i dont like about the bull guards is it F's your front tow hooks, if anybody knows of one that doesnt please chime in.

The accelerometer is the device that tells the bag to inflate. Inflation happens when there is a collision force equal to running into a brick wall at 10 to 15 miles per hour (16 to 24 km per hour). A mechanical switch is flipped when there is a mass shift (deceleration)that closes an electrical contact, telling the sensors that a crash has occurred. It won't affect how quick your airbag deploys at all.

As far as how it looks.... I like mine.
