Body Lift
hey has anybody done a body lift themselves? if so how long did it take, my buddys done em before, hes saying a full day. dont know if its worth it or just take it to a off road shop.
and dont give me crap about not doing a susp lift. dont want to spend the money, saving up for a new 2500 cummins in 3 years.

did one with a friend a long time ago. before you unbolt the body and start lifting go over your entire undercarriage and check for possible hang-ups. there might be a lot of things that may not like the repositioning (depending on amount of lift) like cables, wires(harnesses), fan shroud, rad hoses, ect. get a bumper kit if they make them. always looks nicer when the bumpersline upwith the body.
Did my '98 RAMRCSB 4x4. Took about 6 hrs. of actual work time with me and a buddy. But it was my second time, I'd done a Chevy before. Definately look for little things that can hang you up (learned the hard way), do the bumper kit and the gap guards, it'll make it look a whole lot better.
It looked fantastic to me, but I'll never do another body lift, it'll jar your kidneys out off-road... I think I still have a pic, if I can find it, I'll edit it in...

Ive just finished putting a body lift on my truck, me and a buddy did it in about 8 hours (thats just work time) not including all the breaks, so yeah it would be a good days work. if your mechanicly inclinde its worth doing it yourself.
What is better, a body lift or a suspention lift. What are the advantages vs disadvantages?
