Default Suspension help

ok i own a 04 1500 and im new to the trucks, is there a differance between the suspension as far as bolt ups from the 1500 to the 2500?

yes...a 2500 uses solid axles

front or rear...2 or 4 wheel drive?

yes, both front and rear are different, but which do you have?

My 04 is a 4x4 with the 4.7. To be honest i know nothing of the truck.

we (atleast the 1500 hemi) have a 9.25" rear end...enough leafs to give us about 1700lb of payload. our front ends are IFS (independent suspension) using torsion bar springs...those are the rods that run from just about the front doors up to the lower suspension arms. i'm not sure what size the front diff. is.

as far as the 2500/3500 trucks, i'll let someone w/ one of those trucks comment on what they have.

as far as bolt on suspension eqpt. for the trucks, you need to get stuff specific to the 1500...and even then make sure you get 02-05 stuff because they changed to coil front suspension in 06.

so what lift kits if any is everybody running and what do you all find to be the best. like i said befor i really have no clue bout this cuz im also a buggy owner. my truck is my new toy and i want it to look good.
