Painting Stock Aluminum Wheels?

Has anyone painted the stock 20" Aluminum wheels on a 2006-08 Dodge Ram? I painted my Stock wheels on my 03 Jeep and it looked great but I'm not sure if I should do it on my Ram. I have a silver 06 Ram and thinking about painting the wheels Charcoal Gray. Tell me what you think.

I would go with powder coating over painting, it will look a lot better and last much longer.
