Default stains and that cloth interior for the 2006 trucks

Ok... so i looked to see if anyone posted anything about staining issues and their interior. After finding nothing, i thought i would post.

Does anyone know a cleaning solution to unstain the cloth interior??? I have told people not to bring food into my cab but they do it anyways, and i have had to slap a hoe a few times for it[sm=shootshoot.gif]. I have found that the cloth interior is a stain magnet.. and even very expensive cleaners i have used would also stain!!! I am going to trade the truck in next year, and want to get the stains taken care of so i can get the most trade in value possible. I was wondering if anyone knows anything that works as far as something that will get these irritating stains out!!![:@] Even suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

best bet: spend a few bucks on a professional detail job, make sure you point out the stains you want removed

Take it from me, I know this for a fact. You have to clean the whole seat, not just the stain. If you clean just the stain it will leave a water mark. It does not matter what cleaner you use, just make sure you clean the whole seat. When you get them all clean and dry, then scotchgard the hell out of them.

Yeah, exactly. Cleaning it is easy, you just HAVE to do the whole seat.

I agree with everyone else. You must clean the whole seat. The fabric in the 06's SUCK. Even a drop of water will leave some type of stain.

It is an '06 issue. Clean the entire seat. Red

i know this doesnt really help out too much but, i have the "yes" seats in my 07 and have had someone spill soda on them and it just beaded right up and i was able to just take a paper towel to sop it up. of course i still cleaned the seat but i didnt have to. its probably just scotch guarded or something but it works well. i dont know what kind of stains you have but i have used some cleaner that i found in the car aisle on 2 of my previous rides and it worked well, but the fabric was also darker...

Don't need a cleaner unless you spilled an oily substance on it, then you can use any fabric cleaner. But as everyone else mentioned, you have to cleaned the whole seat. get yourself a clean cloth and a bucket of warm/hot water. Scrub the stain and then wipe down the WHOLE seat to get it wet. The seat will then dry evenly and the stain will be gone and no water marks.

I have a 2 yr old son that seems to stain my seat with everything, so I am cleaning my seats at least once a month. I have yet to use any kind of cleaner, but if you have a stain that realy needs scrubbed, they make a cleaner that is specific for coffee stains (can't remember what it is called) and you can get it a your grocery store.

I own a mobile detailing company here in Ohio and I can tell you from experience, those seats are a BI#@H!!!! We steam clean the entire seat evenly and then place interior air movers to dry them evenly and immediately. those seats are GARBAGE. almost impossible not to get a water stain unless you have a $2000.00 steam cleaning system. try a damp rag then a hair dryer maybe. thats why i love my 03's interior, very easy to clean and is a hella lot more comfortable than the 06 and newer. those interiors look cheap as hell with very little comfort!

Rather than trying to resolve the issue yourself, I always rely on the pros at a detail shop. They are well versed in removing stains in their everyday work environment.

And yes, the Grey cloth seats in my '06 Mega Cab are stained as well.

There is a guy here in central Florida that sells brand new dealer take offs for about $50.00 for a complete Mega Cab or Quad Cabinterior. I think his regular cab interiors go for about $40.00. He will install them for $300.00 extra by appointment. If anyone is interested, contact me for more info.
