Hey all, just bought a new 2008 Dodge Ram Larime 1500 4x4 (White) and wondering what you guys recommend (that’s decent in price) to do to my truck.

So far I am thinking:

K & N Air Intake
Superchip
6" lift with some nice chrome/black 22's and all terrain tires

Any opinions? Or have pictures of anyone else’s trucks that look sick?

 

Paintit something other than white.

you know your chrome is gonna chip and flake when you use your 4x4 for what its meant for.


Whats your rear diff gear rat? you may want to look at going with a lower gear rat 4.56 to help with the 6inch lift and tall tires.

all the things you suggested are like...so far different in price. what do u wanna spend? wanna get power immediately? or get looks immediately?

the lift would look badass, but not really give you performance. superchips will giev you performance, but not look any different.

 

If you are going to really use it I'd say a trans4mer and a winch. Also if you are going to use it for 4x4ing I would suggest not getting the 22" rims. 20's or 17's (preferably) will give you the best offroad traction.

 

Go with the exhaust first!

 

Bah - I searched specifically for a white truck - nothing else would do. Intake is worthwhile - a cheapie ebay will do just as much as a $400 "name brand." I don't know what the tuner can do for 08s; it may take them a few updates to get it really worthwhile.

may I ask why you would lower your 4x4?

agree with RamItOne.... why would you lower a 4x4 especially after you talked about lifting your truck 6"?
