Well, The Day Has Come. Tomorrow I Have My Court Date Involving Charges That HOPEFULLY Will Be Thrown Out.. One of Which Is Obstructed Driver & Passager Windows.

My Lawyer Wants Me To Take My Tint off and Bring It In Crumpled Up and Have Pictures o My Truck Before and After. Not Looking Forward to This... Anyone Have Any Tips Removing My Tint? Seen Botched Tint Removals and Nasty Glue Marks, Want to Avoid That!

And I Am No Criminal..Was Looking At Buying A Porsche 951 In May, and They Guy Didn't Bother to Tell Me It Was Unregistered & Had No Insurance.. Got Pulled over, ThenFaced $1300 In Finesand A Court Date.Went To Court In June For That.Had My Fines Reduced to $200, Paid. Then November on My Way To Work, I Get Pulled Over. Cop Says Your License Is Suspended, Your Windows Are Too Dark. Got Arrested. Find Out I Needed SR22 Insurance.. NO ONE TOLD ME!

Hired A Lawyer - Had The STUPID Suspension Thrown Out.. Now Tomorrow I Have To Go In Facing Crimal Charges From Driving on A Suspended License. Which The Reason It Was Suspended Has Been Vaccated.. So Hopefully Its A Walk In The Park - No Fines! But I Have To Ditch My Tint[:@]

 

Damn that sucks. The only thing I can suggest on removing the tint is a razor blade and alot of time.

I seem to remember hearing something about using an ammonia based window cleaner, or a mix of ammoniua and water sprayed on, then placing a black garbage bag over the window on the inside, applying a litte heat via a hairdryer and then it would peel off together.

Don't take my word for it, but search Google. Something should come up.

mine peeled right off. I got pulled over and he wrote my name down and said to take it off or if he sees me again Im getting a fix-it ticket. So I just took it off. I worked up a corner and pulled and it came right off, took 2 minutes. If you get glue residue left over take some WD-40 and spray it on a clothe and wipe it off then go back with some window cleaner and spray again.

 

Man i've been through all that **** as well its no fun at all.

 

If you dont mind spending $40 just take it to a tint shop and they will do it for you.

Started Doing My Driver, Using My Heat Gun on The Outside of The Window Heating It Up. crrrrrrrrrrrrip Came Right Off.. Then I Looked - FUC*, The Other Clear Sticky Side Was Still On[:@][:@][:@]After An Hour and Some Goo Gone, Steel Wool - I Got Half Way and Ran Outta Steel Wool.

Passanger Side I Had My Heat Gun On The HIGHEST - Burning My FIngers and Almost Melting The Tint, It Peeled off Like A Champ! Clean and No Ammonia..

back in the days when I used to drive a car and was way younger, got stop for a speeding ticket and the damn cop ran his keys through my front tints since he judged that they were to dark. These tints most likely saved me from a lot of pain and agony, since a truck with a snow plow smashed into my front door and window came towards me, but since it was tinted, it stayed in one piece. If the cops can't see in your car and are afraid, why don't they let you go!!!!
