What complaints appraises do you guys have for it got one with 84k 6spd guy is asking 19k from me is that good and any things I need to be aware of as this is my first diesel, quad cab short bed.

 

what year is it? check in the diesel section. they will probably be more helpful than us gassers.

 

My 5.9 is also my first diesel but I heard that the more miles these engines have the better.I also heared a Diesel is not broken in until the first 100K miles.From one Diesl n00b to the other, you will be very happy with the 5.9L.

 

I have 45k on my 05 5.9. I love it. the only complaint I have is not enough money for mods. What year are you looking at?

 

a diesel motor doesn't start breaking in until around 50k miles and after that until you reach about 100k you will get a little better mpg and the 5.9 are the best diesel motors ever made in my opinion my boss has a 2000 model with 510k on it and gets 22mpg and never had a thing go wrong with it and on the other hand my cousin had a 2007 with the 6.7 in it and after 20k he had to have work done it. but i agree what year is it? is it 4wd?

 

We have two diesels on the farm, i like the 5.9 better. if its booking around the right price, i say go for it. Great motors
