From what I have read you only need to let the truck warm up if temperatures are around freezing.

If my overhead display shows under 50 degrees I normally give it a few minutes and then I accelerate slowly and idle as much as I can until the needle has reached the C. From there Idrive normal.

I let it warm up for 30 seconds or so and then take it easy if its really cold out for a couple of miles.

The trans doesn't warm up in park.

Been doing that for years, no problems.

It get's cold here and that blows, so I let it warm up for atleast 10-20min. I also have a electric starter.

In the winter I religiously let it run for 10 minutes before I drive it. In the spring/fall, it depends on the outside temp. Summer I let it start and once the rpms get down to normally idle speed I put it into gear. I have always figured that if my schedule is that critical to not be able to wait that time then I need to adjust my schedule to include this.
