Question about the 4.7 engine
Google has failed to produce a satisfactory answer, so I'm going to ask y'all: what are the specific changes made to the 4.7L that brought it from the 235hp to the 300hp high-output version? All I have been able to find on the subject are engine reveiws and consumer guide articles, but no real information such as, what mechanical changes were made. And is it possible to get the changed parts and convert my 4.7 to a HO engine?

RE: Question about the 4.7 engine
There are a few other changes besides the # of plugs.
The camshaft was redesigned, the exhaust manifold was changed, EGR system was changed, rods are made of different material.
I'm grabbing the details out of the 08 Dodge Ram brochure the dealer gave us when we bought the 1500.
Do you want the text? Cause that is a lot of typing
