Default Tinted Lights

hey i was wondering about tinted tailights. i Have a black 2007 ram and i was thinkin about getting them. Is the tinting better than tailight covers? Are you able to do it to the headlights? Does it reduce light coming out? And is it illegal (in TX)? all i know is that i like the look but i dont know how or where to do this.

I personally have not tried the Covers but they do look darker than the paint itself.
If you go with the DIY painting in the rear you can decide whats dark enuff.I did mine myself about 5 months ago and I have had no problems whatsoever (Legal and drivers behind me)You will get attention for them but if you do it right no one will bug.I have seen some really dark ones and the light is sooo faint I dunno how people get away with it.If you wanna DIY buy a can of VHT Nightshade paint. You can get it aperformance shop or on ebay for cheap. Its like 16 bux a can.Just clean the tails with soap and water and let em dry. Then just do light coats until you decide how dark is dark enough. If you want just dark but still want a good light output, leave a faint red on the tails. It will still look black but your light out put will still be ALMOST as stock.

As far as the headlights,[&:]thats another story my good man.You gotta have 7 hours of free time for those.

06 to 08 are all the same shape.Except on the 06 it has the orange light strip.Other than that the headlights are the same shape and the parts of each are interchangable.

We need to get one of the photoshop regulars to do what it would look like.
