Default Air Intake for an '08

Having a hard time finding a CAI for an '08 1500 5.7. Everyone says that K&N is the best or close to the best brand but as far as I can see they don't make one for an '08. Looking for something like http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...Prod=77-1533KP but it says its for an '07. Or will it work for an '08 because I don't really know of any huge differences in an '07 and '08.

Should work but I would call or e-mailK&N. I use a Tru-Flow foam filter and an Airaid tube and like the setup alot.

Tube on sale hear or I bought both of mine on Ebag

I'm 99.9% sure that any CAI made for the 07 will fit an 08. I'm unaware of any changes that were made between the two as far as the air intake goes...

I'd skip it and just get a Home Depot sewer pipe intake... then throw in an AMSOIL or K&N panel filter if you want. [edit] The best would be a full AIRRAM intake. It makes 15 hp more on a Hemi than stock... The air hat right in front of the throttle valve is the main restriction, as I understand it...

Thank you thats what I thought too but didnt really know.

I lol'd. I want looks as well as performance, but yeah I assume any pipe would work really, as long as it has a quality filter.

+1 on the XDI for looks + Performance. I think those true flows are the best looking intake under the hood...

Is that the kit you bought Smitty? Since you have an '08 as well, did you have to modify anything to install it? Looks very nice, think im going to pick one up next paycheck.

Never been a fan of oiled filters...dry synthetics are the way to go.
