FRONT END SHAKES
I HAVE A 08 RAM 1500 W/ THE 5.7 WHEN I PUT IT IN FOUR WHEEL DRIVE, THE FRONT SHAKES. THE VIBRATION FEELS LIKE ITS COMING FROM RIGHT UNDER ME. I DON'T FEEL IT THROUGH THE STEERING WHEEL OR THE PEDALS. IS THIS A COMMON THING ON THE RAM'S? HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD/HAS THIS PROBLEM?
I'd agree on taking it in for a warranty look. I must ask, does this shake stop after you drive it a little or is it always on in 4wd?
For those who were heckling people using 4wd on pavement, DOOM ON YOU! Using 4wd on pavement, specifically during the rain or other lowered traction time helps keep control of your vehicle better than 2wd. If you want to heckle me for the occasions I put it in 4wd on the pavement to keep my family safe then eff you too and the horse you rode in on.

Hey, my horse never did nuttin to you, LOL!
If you have all the same size tires and are not turning when it shakes in 4wd, make sure the tire pressures are pretty close to the same all around.
Many guys use 4wd at the dragstrip, just take it out of 4wd when turning off.

I have the same problem with my truck. Shake really bad when in 4 wheel drive between 40-60 only when accelerating. It feels like a front wheel drive car does when the CV joints are going out in it.
I took it to the dealer for repair and they were going to replace the half shaft, only when they went to pull the part a GPOP tech tip came up that said a shudder/vibration condition in 4wd only is "a condition that is inherent to the design of the vehicle". The dealer then said that if they were to replace the part dodge wouldn't reimburse them. The service manager also had me then drive another ram and it did the same thing. I assumed at that point they all did it and gave up.
Kinda makes me mad, I have had numerous 4X4 trucks and none of them did this.

THANX HEMITRX07, THATS THE ANSWER I WAS LOOKING FOR.
I KNOW THAT DRIVING ON PAVEMENT IN 4WD ISNT CAUSING THE SHAKE BECAUSE IT DOES IN THE SNOW AND ON PAVEMENT. ALSO IF IT DID IT WHILE TURNING I WOULD FEEL IT IN THE STEERING WHEEL BECAUSE THE TIRE WOULD BE CHIRPING AND JUMPING. I HAVE OWNED ALL THE BRANDS OF 1/2 TONS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF NISSAN AND NONE OF THEM SHOOK LIKE THIS IN 4WD NO MATTER WHAT THE DRIVING SURFACE WAS. THATS SAD THAT DODGE CANT MAKE A 4WD SYSTEM WORK AND ACCEPTS THE FACT THAT THIS SHAKE IS "INHERENT TO THE VEHICLE DESIGN"
