...in the cold. i mean like from 10-30 degrees outside.

our v6's take FOREVER. i leave work, drive throgh liek 8 stopsigns, hit the highway for 3miles, and am just above the second line (~25% warm?) on the off ramp...and turning on heater still yields cold *** air. i mean, i guess it's good to have an engine that stays cool, but ****...it's cold in chicago.

thank god for my recently purchased remote start. and no joke, i start it, let it run for 20 (it automatically shuts off at 20), and like, the car's warmed up...but barely enough for the heat to not give me chills.

are the hemi's liek this too?

Cold?? What's the cold??? I've been back and forth from Florida the past couple of weeks, and when I get home it's usually in the 60's...

But seriously, on a cold day (when I'm up North) my truck takes about 5 minutes of driving time before my cab starts to warm up.... I can start it and let it warm up, but just idling normally takes about 10 minutes before the cab's warm... Temperatures in the 20's I'm talking about...

Before I had my remote start installed, I believe it had taken about 5mins. Wasn't that long at all.

Yesterday it was 7 degrees here when I left for work, I let it run for 10 minutes and it still had not defrosted the window so I cleaned the window and it too another 5 minutes of driving to warm up and at 10 minutes it was starting to get toasty.

Derrick.. Mine Takes About 10 Minutes to Warm Up With My Remote Start..

You Should Really Look Into The Heated Seat Elements. I Got A Set This Xmas.. Best Gift Ever. It Was 110 Bucks - Everything Included For The Install. They Heat Up Quicker Than Any OEMHeated Seat I Have Ever Had. Takes The Chill Out of Your Body While Your Truck Warms The Cab.

Tulsa just experienced a nice ice storm with temps in the 10s. The truck started up fine and was warm in about 4 to 5 minutes (under driving conditions). It will take longer if you just sit there in park at idle. If its really taking your truck that long to warm up, i would suggest taking it to the dealership to be looked at.

10-30 degrees? That's cold? Lately I have been dealing with the single digits to seriously below zero (-22 two nights ago,) I don't think the truck ever really completely warmed up during that drive home (~20 miles.) But then again, the 360 is a big engine and there is a lot of metal and parts to get warm.

Oh well, that's Wisconsin for you.

aj - no need for the heating elements. i'm sort of a fatty, and it's just my hands that get cold.

hemipwr07 - yea...my maxima has a heated steering wheel. GENIUS...PURE GENIUS. i use it even when it's kinda warm out cause it feels so good. and in winter, the thing gets sooooo hot, like, to the touch hot...lol. which probably isn't good, but, eh...

it's all good. i mean, it's taking just as long as some people here. and no need to take it to dealership...what could possibly be a problem for my truck not warming up as fast as most cars? thermostat open too early? stuck open? nothing bad really.

I park mine in the garage, which helps, even though it is unheated. I also had a block heater installed, as I wanted to minimize the engine's warm-up time. The block heater does help... (at least, from what I remember last year) For winter, and even part of spring, you can remove your clutch fan. Have you had your T-stat checked?
