stick with the 20's, people get 17 and 18s so they can get a cheaper tire. i hate seeing a big 1 ton liftedtruck with big ol tires and some god dang 17s on em.
Ummm.... actually cost never crossed my mind when buying 17's. Thanks for letting everyone, including me, know what they are thinking when buying.

So, a real opinion would state that it all depends on what you are looking for in a tire. Do you want deep mud capability? What about asthetics (sp?), do you, as I prefer more sidewall or a low profile mud tire (which is exactly what you get with 20's). In other words, not everyone looks at cost, some of us look at what we are planning to use the truck for and looks.

I chose to keep my stockers because I think that I don't like the look of 20's with bad *** tread and only a small sidewall. And I like the look of as much rubber as possible. If I could go down to a 16 inch wheel. I would be all over that.

Now you guys have me wondering about the MT's, maybe I should look at the AT's. I don't do very much HARDCORE offroading, just ALOT of hunting and fishing. Anybody running the Toyo AT's?

Nice truck. The tires seem to be every ones pick but see what your rims look like in that tire you can always buy the rim, or is this a package deal ?

No, I could just keep my rims, but I really like the MM 955's!

I'm running At's, besides being 12.5" wide which is pretty much the worst width for snow, they are an overall excellent tire. Mt's have an edge in mud but the AT have better wear and quieter and pavement. Since I'm on pavement or dirt road 75% of the time a choose the AT's. I do a lot of highway mileage.

Run the AT's on the factory 20"s. I love em. dont have any complaints about em so far. i was in the same boat as you, nothing hardcore. but i do fish, and need to get horse trailers in and out of nasty fields. and it snow's pretty good here. havn;t let me down yet. wear good, quiet, and get good traction

why cause for someone who doesn't have a pavement queen it is a smarter choice to go with 17's. Tires are cheaper, and they have more sidewall for better flex and traction. 20"s with a mud terrain do look good, and they do that well because that is what they are for...looks.
