creaking brake pedal ?
Has anyone else had the problem of a creaking brake pedal? I only happens every now and then but it sure drives ya crazy when it does it . If so, how did you fix it ?
I just had that problem. My truck only had 3000miles so the dealer fixed it. I guess they just greased the brake pedal bushing. No squeak now. It made the truck smell for a couple days, but it went away.
I told the dealer about it when I had my truck in for other stuff. They couldn't duplicate the creak but they lubed it anyway....I think around the pivot joint. It hasn't creaked since..

I also have had that problem (drives me crazy!!!) but i've noticed that my pedal only creeks when it gets really humid outside, like when it raines alot or when we have standing water from snow melt. It stops when it dryes out so ive never done anything about it. If you live in a very humid area I would just put some general purpose greese on the joint under the dash where the break connects. It costs .92 at walmart for a tube and its exactly the same stuff that dodge puts on all the door hinges and joints at the factory. If you look at your door when its open you can see the yellow goo caked on there, so you can use it for that later, it also dosent smell. I wouldent use wd-40 since its actually a cleaner and not a lubricant, it can also eat some kinds of plastic and rubber and it stinks.
