I actually measured a CTD 2500 on the dealers lot the morining I installed mine (yes, I got permission, I play golf occasionally with the sales mgr.) and went with those measurements. My 3 center lights are fairly close together. Here is a pic to compare to the job they did.

200.00 dollars total75.00 for the lights and 125.00 for their mentally challenged installer. the thing that really gets me is in the last 10 years with all my other vehicles i have spent probably 3000.00 plus without so much as a complaint or problem and the first time i have a problem and address the issue i look like the bad guy, that sucks.

Just remember, you are paying good money for a good job, if you are not satisfied, you are by no means "the bad guy".
Any luck with them today? Were you able to get pics?

I have never liked the lights on top, and I have always wondered what their purpose is?
I have read that they are clearance markers, but ....If I am going inside a parking garage, my clearance gauge is the antena....so??
WHat are the lights actually for?

I actually did mine just for the looks, when I was in my teens, my father had a Ford F250 (gas engine) that had them on from the factory (I'm guessing it was a option on any F250+ and the dealer ordered it with them). I always loved the look but never considered adding them myself until someone on another Dodge forum posted that he put the smoke Recons on his 1500 and added how easy it was since the connection was in the pillar. So I decided to look into it and after I found that they were only $69 plus shipping, I decided to put them on.

The three in the center are supposed to be closer. Well, on most vehicles.
I know on semi trucks and trailers it's mandatory. And the center three are closer. It's to show you are 83" or wider. That's the best I can remember.
