professionally installed aftermarket cab lights installed wrong

I actually did mine just for the looks, when I was in my teens, my father had a Ford F250 (gas engine) that had them on from the factory (I'm guessing it was a option on any F250+ and the dealer ordered it with them). I always loved the look but never considered adding them myself until someone on another Dodge forum posted that he put the smoke Recons on his 1500 and added how easy it was since the connection was in the pillar. So I decided to look into it and after I found that they were only $69 plus shipping, I decided to put them on.

Of Course It Was for The Looks! One Man Gang What Brand Where They? And I Am Still Not So Sure I Understad What Measurment Wise Is So Wrong? The Lights Have A Curve In The Base - So First and Foremost The Need To Have It Fit The Curvature of The Roof For The Seal.
I JUST INSTALLED THE OEM KIT ON MY ST, KIT COST ME 75.00, AND CAME WITH A VERY NICE TEMPLATE. WAS PRETTY EASY TO INSTALL. THATS WHATS NICE ABOUT THE MOPAR KIT, A BIG TEMPLATE. SORRY YOU GOT SCREWED BY THAT SHOP. HOPE EVERYTHING GETS FIXED.
Yea, on another forum, a guy supposedly had the template from the Mopar kit and was offering to send a copy of it to anyone wanting to install the Recons who was not just upgrading their stock ones to the better looking Recon lights. I pm'd him about it, but never got a response, so that's when I decided to measure a 2500...
Sorry about the mess up you ended up with, and you are are right; they never should have started if they didn't know exactly what they are doing. This isn't like a decal that you can pull off and replace. I'd suggest to anyone considering the same thing to either have a template, or to get up there with a Sharpie and mark EXACTLY where you expect everything to go.
Kinda reminds me a screw-up I had a few years back (no permant modification to a car, though). I stopped by to get some low-milage tires from my previous (totaled) car mounted before I went on a 2000 mile road trip. The rear tires were wider than the front, so I had big pieces of duct tape with "LF", "RF", "LR", "RR" written with a bright red Sharpie on the proper tires. After waiting nearly an hour and a half for the car to be ready, I walk out to it and see the big-*** tires on the front. I go back in and tell the tech that he mounted them in the wrong spot. "You didn't tell mewhere you wanted them mounted" was the smart-*** reply I got from him. When I pointed to the wad of duct-tape sitting there and said that he had to pull the tape off just to mount the tires, he whined "I didn't know what that meant". I mean, how stupid do you have to be to NOT know what that meant? And what idiot puts the BIG tires on the FRONT of the car? He then told me it would be 2 hours before he could get to my car, I had to go back in line again. I found the manager and told him I would park my car sideways in front of the bays until he got someone to pull the wheels off and rotate them. This is why I don't take my cars to Wal-Mart anymore, they will NEVER lay a finger on my truck.

Well, RedRam, you screwed up that idea, you couldn't just stick one post in between, but had to do it to me twice.[:@]
OMG: It's not terrible, but I'd be pissed off too. Maybe you should become "Five Man Gang" and go back and kick some ***...
