im not on other forums, but it seems pretty good, and i think its the computer, i just bought a nice as HP yesterday and its way faster than my old pc. i think its the computer and the forum.
Not as slow as other sites or forums that I have been to.
When it gets really slow I delete my temp files & browsing history then it is fine again.

As far as slow goes, nope... This site has always been pretty fast for me, and I'm normally surfing around on hotel internet so I'm on a bunch of different internet services.....

This site is much slower than any I visit. Took two minutes to open this post alone! I do have a slower DSL but will be going back to cable internet soon. I only read posts that I think will interest me. Otherwise I would be here all day. It is even slow loading at work. Red
yeah, its slower than it was when i first started. i think its because the site has been growing mroe and more and many new people joining too. so its a good thing then. lol
Right now I'm at home, DSL, 3.0 Mb down and 1.5 Mb up speed, it takes me an average of 2 seconds for threads to pop up in their entirety... I use Firefox web browser with the broadband speed tweak. If any of you guys out there use firefox, you should do the speed tweak:
This only applies to BROADBAND internet users:
[blockquote] Here’s something for broadband people that will really speed Firefox up: 1.Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading. 2. Alter the entries as follows: Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true” Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true” Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. 3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0″. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives. If you’re using a broadband connection you’ll load pages MUCH faster now!
Again, I've never had a problem with this website, and I'm on here quite ofter from various locations across the country... I don't believe the problem you are seeing is on their end, otherwise I would have to be seeing some of the slow speeds you guys are complaining about...
