Battery Replacement

Battery Replacement
Guys, I am going to purchase a new battery for my truck today and I wanted some advice. I have a 2004 Quad Cab with the stock battery in it. I have been having some issues starting it up on cold mornings so I want to get a battery with a little more power. I also have GPS, Fog lights, Sub and amp, and the infinity sound system. I was looking online and think I want to get a Optima RED34. It has 800cca and 1000ca. Will this battery work and be an upgrade over the stock battery?
Thanks in advance!

RE: Battery Replacement
I did price a "regular" battery and it is about $40-$50 cheaper. From reading the forum and talking to the auto store guys I have concluded that a red top or yellow top battery would be more efficient with the addition of electronics to my vehicle. Is this correct?

RE: Battery Replacement
i would agree with getting an optima but which one it depends how big of an amp you have. I have a '93 jeep wrangler with a 8K winch and extra light i have a yellow top for that truck b/c it is a deep cycle battery. But when i get an optima for my ram which i am it will be a red top because they are more focued on starting, but call a place that sells them for the exact one to get.. good luck

RE: Battery Replacement
I bought the Auto Zone battery and run many periphals in our truck, including a 600 watt converter to run our computers and printer. I love the battery and the warranty is much better than the Optima. I had a red top in our 99 and it lasted 2 years before failing, no warranty.
