Default Turn Signals

I just thought this would be pretty cool of an idea to do, and i dont think it would be hard. Redram tell me what you think, i know you have a RECON addiction! heres what i thought. the smoked dually fender lights from recon, http://www.gorecon.com/product.php?p...8&p_cat=35

i thought you could wire those onto your mirrors, especially the nice tow mirror http://us.autos1.yimg.com/img.autos....or_640x480.jpg

so i was thinking....those fender lights are just 3M tape, if you could drill a small hole in the arm of the mirror, wire through the arm some wring to the turn signal relay or the blinker wiring, you could do this very simply, just a thought though. you could even wire the amber LEDs to the front of the arm, and if you wanted maybe wire the red LEDs to the corner somewhere on the mirror. i might try this one day.

So tell me what you think red ram

pretty much, and wire them to the turn signals so that when you hit the bliker, they'll work as those. just an idea. might be stupid or not. if you click on the attatchment you'll get what i mean.

I Hear Ya.. Been Thinkin Myself. There Is A Thread Out There With Adding Turn Signals to Tow Mirrors.

Think Thats A Good Idea and All But Heres 2 Issues I See
A: Anything That "Sticks on" Especially To Plastic.. Tends To Fall off With The Changing Weather. And Is Easier To Vandalize.

2: The Whole Reason For Turn Signal Mirrors, When I Tow Stuff, Is To Let The Vehicle Either Directly Next To You Know Your Turning, or In Your Blind Spot. I Am Guessing The Ambers Would Be On The Front of The Mirror - and The Reds Would Face The Rear.. But Unless Someone Is Far Enough Back To See The Reds, They Still Can't See Your Signal.

I'll Make A Ghetto Illistration Of What I Have Been Planning Using $10 - 3"Amber LED Strips

i do know what you mean redram. mine are a little more expensive, being $100, but hey i believe in getting what you pay for, besides its recon, one of the best lighting manufactures i know. i also thought it would be more descreet. i do see your point with the sticky problem in weather, but they have this emelem glue, made to put embelems back on your car, made by 3M....if worst comes to worst..then you can squeze a little embelem glue behind it. but like i said it recon and i dont see it coming off, since its made for the fenders of a dually. my ford f-350 is a dually and i would be pissed if they came off, so i dont see that happening with recon. maybe cheap stuff but not them. and vandalism...hey, if someone wanted to, they could take your damn tailgate, or other of hundreds of things to do other than take off your turn signals to your mirros haha. keeping a vehicle away from harm is almost impossible unless its garage kept, in which my truck does not fit in my garage because its too high. other than that anything can happen, for instance my bull bar, thats a whole straining process of 4 bolts!
