Default Question on Tuners

Hey guys I know that theres a lot of topics on tuners but im such a newb to turners that I want to make sure I start my own thread and ask questions! LOL

Whats the best tuner for the HEMI w/MDS?

How does a turner work? Are there any drawbacks to a turner or will it mess anything up in my truck down the road?

This may sound like a dumb question, but why wouldn't dodge just program the trucks computer to run at its best from the factory?

And last, any other information would also be great, I just want to make sure I make the right purchase.! Thanks in advanced.

Default RE: Question on Tuners

1) that is up to you. Superchips, Bully dog, edge are popular.

2) They change the programming in your motor, ie fuel/air mixture, timing, shift points etc. It shouldn't cause any problems later on, but you never know. Some now come witha warranty.

3) They tune for emissions.

4) lol
