Is this "healthy" with such high shift times? I mean, I dont know much about engine or tranny performance, but hearing that it takes 20mph to get out of 1st almost makes me cringe

I'd have to say I'm another one of those types described by Hammer...my MPG went up, even with the performance tune. I didn't change the shift points at all, but it does take a little longer to shift from 1st gear when going slow, frankly I don't mind this at all and very much like the improved shifting in general. Perhaps it's because I've gone to 4.56 gears, so when going light on the throttle the darn truck seems to want to shift way too early before the tune.....anyhow, I read all about Hammer's issues with Superchips prior to buying, so I knew what I was buying and it's serving it's purpose very well....but if your going to do more, that would be better suited with a custom tune, the flashpaq is not for you...

I just programmed my new 3815 on my new Mega Cab and WOW what a difference. I did the performance tune as I already had a tank of super in it.... I up'd the rev limiter a few hundred RPM and up'd each shift pt just 100RPM. Driving with my foot out of it I didn't notice anything but better fuel milage (granted I put about 20 miles so far and corrected my speedo) and when I put my foot into it about 30MPH now then you can feel a REAL difference.

I did not notice much as far as shifting harder and def not shifting from 1st to 2nd and anywhere near 20-30MPH.

Any rec's on how to exactly tune a near stock 08 Hemi?
