superchips is a waste of money, time and does not help your truck at all. I bought it an used it for 3 days before i couldnt take the shifts from 1-2nd being so high, and my gas milage went from 14.5 around town to 5.6 around town, i didnt feel any more power! I went on thesuperchips forum and they did nothing for me, theyhad me download a diffrent version special for my truck orthats what they said and it was the same thing!
SO i sold it for 300.00 on ebay 150 less then what i paid for it! my 2 cents superchips is junk!!!!
Now I'm no Superchips fan, by any means. Even though I own one, I feel betrayed by their abrupt reversal on "custom tunes" which is not only the chief reason I went with them, but have assurances in writing from them that they would be coming out with them. It turned into a bold face lie!
But, that said, for anyone with a stock to mildly modded truck (ie.- Cai, exhaust) it is the BEST tuner available for the Hemi. You are the only one that I have heard report a LOSS in fuel economy with ANY of the 3 tunes on it!!! I have also been a witness to an '05 RCSB Hemi 4x2 get dyno'd bone stockand after adding a Flowmaster 50HD muffler, K&N CAI and the performance tune from the Flashpaq 3815 at my local performance shop and the HP and Torque gains were VERY respectable.
I have no clue why it did not work for you, but your experience was very far from the norm...
+1

It doesn't work miracles but it does help. Something wasn't right with yours.

If you are worrying about the "punks" on the street think, you are either one of the "punks" or want to be one of the " punks," which one is it?
Neither

If i wanted to be a "punk" i would drive a civic with a 4 foot spoiler, and a 6 inch exhaust tip. I needed something to lug duster around because i get 11 miles to the gallon in it with my 5.9L 360, so i bought my ram. I am into muscle cars and dont know much about my truck, cut me some slack please . So the throtle body spacer is out then if its a waist and if i read corectly the SC3815 is most common. Is there anything else bolt on wise besides headers that will give me some more up and go?

Best performance mods for naturally asparated Hemi without doing head work are:
Exhaust, CAI, LT Headers, E-Fan, 180* Thermostat, Tuner & Cam upgrade (which would include springs, retainers, push rods & damper).

Nothings wrong with my truck the problem is the 1st-2nd shift takes the rpms up allot higher then stock, so driving around town and i didnt mention that this is my work truck, so i put 75-100miles a day. The computer went from 14.5 down to 5.6 avg. within 3 days and as soon as i put it back to stock, i gotbetter milage ect... I contacted superchips and also went online and it took them 6 months to get back to me so i didnt use the tuner for that period of time, then finnally they get back 2me and had me download a specail version for me, it did nothing at all! so i told them and they told me that they have had many complaints and are looking into fixing the problem and that was almost 1 year ago to march! if you go on flashpaq.com and hit the forum you will see allot of people having trouble with the tuner. from my expericance with superchips i would not buy from them again, you spend 450.00 and garenteed better fuel eco, power and many tuning options, when you get it, it does nothing but adjust your tranny, which is good for some but not good for others!

Obviously, you have not seen the code that makes up one of their tunes. I have, and believe me, if you think that just tranny shifts is all it does, you ain't got a clue. The tranny shifting makes up about 6% of the code. And the shift points at 1st to 2nd is excactly where the stock shift point is, unless you are at WOT! Any change to the stock shifting NOT AT WOT, and the product could not get CARB certification. I'm not looking to argue with you JCP, but these are facts. I agree that many complain about the product on their forum, hell, at one time I owned like half the "Superchip Sucks" thread. But percentage wise, the pros outweigh the cons by a good eight to one margin. Most of the bitches have got more to do with their download glitches with Windows, more than the product itself. I also don't buy your "they took 6 months to get back to me" because I never went more than 24 hours without a response, unless it was over a weekend. They won't ever do what I want them to do for me, but at least they respond in a timely manner.
Like I said, I feel betrayed by their reversal in direction with the product, but it DOES perform as advertised, for 98+% of the people who purchase it. I'd love to sit and bash it all day long, because I believe the upper mgmt. of the company is a collection of lying, money grubbing jerks, but, in clear conscience, I have to admit that the product does what it is CURRENTLY advertised to do and does it better than the other options on the market right now...

I'm not trying to pick on you or anything JCP, it's just that I personally know more than a dozen people with one (and I mean like PERSONALLY - not from forums), plus I've seen the code as my performance shop tech was a hired consultant who helped with the tunes andthe code. Your experience (and again, I'm not doubting you), is about as close as opposite from everyone else's experience with the product as you can get. I just can't help thinking that you possibly have an issue with your truck that the tune "unmasked" or brought to the surface.
Like I said, EVERYONE I know experiences a gain in fuel economy, in all three tunes, which if you see how much the code advances the timing, you'd know would have to be the result.
So, again, I'm not picking on you, but knowing what the tunes are specifically doing like I do, your results just don't make any logical sense...

I would agree with you. Mine does not shift out of first until 20mph now that I have it tuned. I have the 87 octane tune, not the performance. I don't know if there is a difference.
