that blows ***.
that hole in your block (if i think it's what it is) is supposed to do what it did. piston froze up, and instead of letting compression explode through your engine and ****, it blows out a cap in the block.

^^ in this photo, you see that silver/gray plug above the block drain? is the hole that blew out...like a gaping hole? or is a perfect circle?

A little duct tape on the hole should fix you right up.[&:]
Seriously, your 04 has the 7/70 Powertrain Warranty. They may give you a hard time about your mods, but hold your ground, the burdon of proof is on them if they claim any mod caused the problem.
I had a '98 Ford F-150 4x4 and a piston cracked with only 14K on it while towing my bass boat home from a tourney at Lake Sinclair to my home (at the time) in south Ga.
I fought the dealer for over a week as they said my cat-back exhaust voided my warranty. After getting nowhere with them, I had a lawyer write a letter (that's when I learned about the Magunson-Moss Act as the lawyer explained it to me). The same day they were in receipt of the letter, the service mgr. called me and apologized for the mis-understanding and tried to say I mis-heard him (yea, mis-heard the words "NOT COVERED" over a half dozen arguments with him!!!) and from then on there was no question that it was a warranty repair.
BTW - Traded that POS Ford in on a new '98 Dodge RCSB 4x4 w/5.9 the day after I got it back. I'll never own a Ford again.
Anyway, just stick to your guns. Good Luck...

Here you go give them hell they have to fix it under warranty unless they can prove it take your programmer out and set it back to stock before you go in there.
