wheel question??
Ok so ive searched and couldnt find an exact answer so its easier for me to just ask.... i have a 03 1500 with the 20's and i hate em! I want new rims, but money is real tight now(wedding). Ive always had the american racing ar-767 on all my old trucks/jeep and i want them for my dodge. now heres my question. a friend has an old set of 15x8 6 lug rims with 32/12.5 m/t's from his nissan that he said i could have for nada!! so if i buy these spacers/adapters, will they fit or will they still rub the calipers?

I have no experience with those adaptors but it seems like it will throw off the wheel center of gravity and put undue stress on the axle. In the long run what's the cost of a new axle vs buying the right rims now? Just my $0.02.
if they clear the inside diameter of the wheel you shouldnt have much of a problem. just enough of an adapter to clear the backside of the wheel face. i would steer clear of spacers though. putting the weight of the wheel further out on the studs makes them stress easier. make sure to get a spare from the same type of truck too, you cant get the adapter off the front unless you have a cordless impact or someone hammering down on the brakes. hope that helped.
sincethe 20 inch wheels are in the air. i have an 06 1500 2wd. all the rams ive seen with 20s are 4wd. will the 4wd 20s bolt straight on a 2wd? i know they have very little backspace and offset differences but that couls make or break them bolting on.
well the adapters push out thewheels 2 inches.. so no choice there. and getting new axles will be much more loot then a new set of tires cause then id have to change the brakes and rotors and a whole bunch of sh**.. i dunno, maybe ill see what their return policy is and get a pair just to see if itll work. if not return em and get either new rims/tires or new tires for my 20's now.
Word of advice.... don't use adaptors. They are hard on the hubs/axels/wheels etc and should not be used.

thats true, i guess its which ever youd want to use. either way your prob gonna eithertear up a hub or axleor on the other hand break the studs off and lose a wheel goin down the road. best way to avoid any probs, wait till ya can get wheels that fit. safest most secure route.
