I was wondering what type of oil everyone was using for their truck...... I have 2004 dodge ram quad cab 2wd 5.7 liter with the Hemi...... I have been told to use all kinds of different oils and filters.......From 5w20 ETC.....I was told that if you use a certain kind of oil it helps with the Hemi tick..... As anybody had their Hemi Tick Problem solved by using a certain kind of oil...... Thanks

 

i use mobil 1 15w50 but im thinkin about switchin amsoil 15w50

 

i like a thicker oil cause it dosent stick to any parts and synthetic is just amazing since day one ive used it and to this day the only problem ive had with my truck is the cooling fan going bad..

 

I've used Mobile1 0w20 and 5w20 and havent noticed the hemi tick problem on my '06.

I just recently put in Royal Purple 5w20 and it seemed to giv ethe Hemi a little extra pep afterwards.
But I may just be imagining that?

I use full synthetic 5w20....The day I brought him home he got all new drinks.....also....just for reference I have found the best trans fluid ever....its called raptor blood full sylicone synthetic......awsome **** 36$ a gallon

 

ooooohi forgot....first 6 months I had my truck it would stall all the time at idle.....when i started using sythetic oil it quit and runs so much better...its like it was starved for oil or something
