Default Body lift for an 06' 1500

I have done some searching here on body lifts. I am very familair with them pro's con's etc. I am wondering what the best one is. Seems most folks like the Performance Accessories Kit. Did I do my research correctly? I have an 06' 1500 4x4 with a front leveling kit, 35 toyo muds and 17" rims. I clear the 35's (barely) This is really just for looks I dont 4 wheel this much. I have a quad for that. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also do you guys experience that when hitting a series of bumps the truck just walks sideways? Think I need shocks.

Default RE: Body lift for an 06' 1500

A level kit will harshen the front end up a little, that may be your problem. Expect a body lift to harshen the ride even more, but if you can live with it, then it's a decent, low cost solution for you. Real good aftermarket shocks should help a little.
The PA kit is by far the most popular one sold. I put one on my '98 1500 RCSB 4x4 in the driveway with nothing more than a floor jack, jack stands, air & hand tools.
I've had three trucks in the past 15 years or so that I put body lifts on and thought that the harsh bumpy ride off road was the price of having a lift. My current truck is the first one I put a suspension lift on and it IS day and night better.
But, as you said, you are not looking for the off-road performance, so I see no reason not to use the PA kit to get the better clearance you want for your 35's. I think it comes with the bumper kit and you'll want to spend the little extra on the well liners...
