Default RPMs

I have had this problem since i got the truck, and figured i tried to find out the possible problems before i bring it back to the dealer under warranty.

This only happens in first gear, the rpms do not go up gradually, they jump. What could be causing this, the first thing i thought of was the torque converter, but it only happens in first gear.

The other problem i just noticed it today, but i could have been doing it since i got the truck. It only happens when i let go of the gas. the rpms will drop to normal, or what it seems like drops about 500rpms above normal then down to normal. When it drops to normal the rpms seem to fluctuate about 100 rpms. Could this be the throttle positioning sensor?

Before i bring it to the dealership i would like to get some possible solutions from other people who have had this problem, so i can tell them.

Thanks
