Please HELP
Well guys I am posting again, I am getting frustrated with this truck fast. With this being my first dodge it is starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth. I just bought this truck, I have had it less than a two weeks and I have drove it three times. The place I bought it from is a reputable dealer plus its about an hour away. When I test drove it, bought It, and drove the hour drive back I had not a problem at all. The fourth day I had it I go out and start it up idles like crap then dies out. Cranks but does not fire. Wait an hour or two go out runs like brand new. I took it to a Chrysler dodge dealer, paid them 85 dollars to diagnosis what was wrong with it. They said it needed a new MAP sensor and the Throttle body needed to be cleaned. So I buy some cleaner, clean out the TB no big deal (it was bad it felt like honey by the butterfly) I go to replace the map sensor it doesn’t fit. And yes they gave me the right one. The new sensor is bigger than the original and Dodge makes you grind/cut a plastic piece off the Intake Manifold (NO JOKE) I read it out of a repair manual at the Dealership. So I do this, put the new MAP sensor in, still nothing changed. Starts up idles like poooo, stalls out, cranks over but will not fire. I have disconnected the battery trying to get rid of any codes still nothing. Put new plugs in it, still nothing changed. Getting pretty old fast, I think it’s the fuel pump, talked to a couple Dodge guys they said it would be rare for a Dodge fuel pump to be out already at 51,000. No check engine light is coming on or anything. (The light bulb is in there, it comes on when you start it up)When it is idling (barley) I have tried tuning on the a/c, blow motor and radio to put a load on the alternator does not change it at all, plus it has a new battery. Anything well help, I am out 125 bucks already plus I have missed two part time job shifts at 100$ a pop because I cant get it running. Thanks again

you shouldn't have been spending your money on those problems if you have a warranty. that is, it seems like you bought this truck brand new... 2007/2008.

Did you try the dealer you bought it from? I guess you paid a decent price for it so it should have at least a 30 day warranty.

RE: Please HELP
Its an 04 1500 Hemi with 51,000, i just bought it two weeks ago, the place i bought it from said they would help pay for the repairs. The warranty from the dealer i bought it from was 30 days powertrain only, but like i said i have called them a couple times telling them whats up with the truck and they said they would help me out. I am taking it to an independent shop hoping they will do a little better than the Dodge dealership. At 65 dollars an hour to fix. Thanks for thelp
